About City Arts Nashua

City Arts Nashua is made up of visual and performing artists, writers, business leaders and arts consumers committed to promoting Greater Nashua's artistic and cultural community.

Mission

City Arts Nashua's mission is to promote Greater Nashua's artistic and cultural community, including visual arts, theater arts, musicians, and writers, with the goal of increasing awareness and building an expanded audience. City Arts Nashua's objective is to act as a catalyst to help the arts thrive and to promote cooperation, coordination and common ground for artists, arts organizations and audiences.

Board of Directors

Marjorie Bollinger Hogan - President

Marjorie has a Master of Music in Applied Flute from the Hartt School at University of Hartford and a BA in Music from University of South Florida. Marjorie has performed with numerous area orchestras and chamber ensembles and is currently Principal Flute of the Merrimack Valley Symphony. Marjorie is also the Music Director of the Merrimack Valley Flute Choir and teaches flute lessons in Nashua.

Jay Minkarah - Vice President

Jay currently serves as Economic Director for the City of Manchester. Jay's educational background is in urban planning and law, and he is an active member of the New Hampshire Bar, although he does not choose to currently practice law. Jay is also on the Board of Trustees for the Nashua Symphony Association, the Hunt Building Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors for Yellow Taxi Productions.

Rebecca Dixon - Secretary

Rebecca serves as the Executive Director at Great American Downtown, a nonprofit organization designed to promote Downtown Nashua. She studied psychology and performance music at the University of Vermont. Rebecca plays the trumpet in several area ensembles, including the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic, and serves as director of the Monument Square Brass.

Dalisa Childs - Treasurer

Dalisa has a strong background in arts administration and and accounting.

Jackie Barry

Jackie is a local artist. She currently is president of the Nashua Area Artists' Association.

Roy Goodman

Roy is a published poet and is on the Simple Gifts Coffee House team. He has a BA in Liberal Arts from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

Bonnie Guercio

Bonnie is a multi-media artist and local arts educator.

Sue Hurwitz

Sue is a founding member of the chamber group Resonance, and the flute ensemble, Lilly. She has been a vocal soloist with the Actorsinger's Chorus, and a flute soloist with the Souhegan Valley Chorus, at A Taste of the Arts, and at the Museum of Fine Arts, among many others. Sue is a Special Education Teacher, whose ultimate goal is to be a Music Therapist.

Maura McGowan

Maura has 10 years of experience working in community outreach, child abuse prevention and family support for the Nashua community bringing a range of skills including presentations, event planning, and creating marketing materials.

Liz Racioppi

Liz is principal for Bellwether Strategic Marketing and is also co-owner of the Elizabeth Grady Skin Care salon located in Tyngsboro, MA. She is committed to community enrichment, and has volunteered extensively in numerous charities including the Nashua chapter of Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the Nashua Soup Kitchen, and the Mass Audubon Society. Liz has a BA in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
